Outreach

Greer Community Ministries

Good Shepherd was one of the founding churches of GCM. We collect canned goods, toiletries, and clothing items as needed for their ministry to the Greer community.

Crestview Elementary School

Good Shepherd has a relationship with Crestview Elementary, providing support in the classroom, in the office, and during special holiday events.

Alcoholics Anonymous

AA meets in Ballenger Hall at 7:00 PM on Monday and Thursday evenings.

Christmas Shoes Ministry

For many years, Good Shepherd has partnered with this Greer-based organization to provide needy children with a new pair of shoes, socks, toothbrush, and toothpaste.

Greer Soup Kitchen & Shelter

We are now collecting fresh fruit from Crestview Elementary and delivering it to the soup kitchen.

Inreach

Pastoral Care

The pastoral care of the priest is multi-faceted. Sister Fergie visits the sick in the hospital as well as homebound parishioners, spending time with them in conversation and prayer. She and a team of Eucharistic Visitors bring communion to those who are unable to be with us in person. Sister Fergie is available and enjoys interacting with parishioners in conversation.

Vestry

The Vestry serves to support the church's mission by word and deed, to select the rector, to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage resources and finances.

The Good Shepherds

The Good Shepherds are a group of energetic volunteers who serve our church family in a variety of ways. Any member is welcome to be a part of this important ministry.

Eucharistic Visitors

Eucharistic Visitors take Holy Communion to those who can't be at church, including them in the congregation of Good Shepherd.

Music Ministry

Our music director, Jim Davis, and the members of the choir bless our congregation through their ministry of the gift of music each Sunday.

Worship Leaders

Eucharistic Ministers (chalice bearers) and Lectors (readers) provide a vital service in their ministry to the congregation during the liturgy.
